The devastating Cyclone Hudhud made a landfall on 12th October, 2014 2:41 pm at the coastal areas of Vizag & Uttarandhra in Andhra Pradesh.Over 350,000 people were evacuated and numerous were left homeless. The cyclone is estimated to have caused a damage of over INR 70,000 crores (over USD 11 Billion).
In view of this tragedy,the Telugu Film Industry has given a call for collective action,to raise funds for the Hudhud cyclone relief action.Towards this end, the Telugu Film Industry is putting gether a massive entertainment show . ALL funds raised through this event will go to the 'Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund'.
The Memusaitam Telethon will see the participation of the Biggest and most popular Movie Stars this country has ever witnessed.
While popular Movie icons like Dr.Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna are leading from the front, the electryfying presence of Power Star Pawan Kalyan,Super Star Mahesh Babu and youth icons like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, NTR, Prabhas, Ram, Rana Daggubati, Vishnu, Manoj, Gopichand and Kajal, Samanta, Anushka, Shruthi Hasaan, Tamanna, Shriya Sharan, Rakul Preet Singh,Regina Cassandra, and over 100 other popular heroines, heroes and numerous actors, and Legendary Comedy Actors like Brahmanandam, Ali and a host of other comedy artists,Directors like SS Rajamouli, Trivikram, VV Vinayak, Sreenu Vytla and several others will provide entertainment on a scale never seen before.
